Guide
SeekHop isn’t a desktop search tool. It’s a Website App Desktop.
It doesn’t search files on your computer. It puts the sites you visit on your desktop, to open directly or take content to.
What SeekHop does
Press a shortcut and your sites’ icons appear: click one to go, no browser to open first. Select text first, and it goes along into that site’s search.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t search files, apps or settings on your computer
- It isn’t a search engine: it doesn’t aggregate results from sites or pick answers for you
- It doesn’t operate web pages for you, and it isn’t a chat-style AI assistant
How it differs from these tools
- Local file search finds things on your computer; SeekHop goes to websites.
- Browser bookmarks take you back to a URL; SeekHop can import them, take text into a site’s search, and reach several sites at once.
- App launchers start programs on your computer; SeekHop handles only websites.
