Guide

How do you search text you’ve selected?

Select text in any app, press one shortcut, and take it to the site you choose.

Three steps

  1. Select the text. Any app works: a browser, document, chat window or code editor.
  2. Press the shortcut. The default is Ctrl + Space, changeable in Settings. The selected text is already in the search bar.
  3. Pick a website app. Click an icon, or press Enter to use your default.

What if you can’t select the text?

For text you can’t select (images, screenshots, video frames), press Ctrl + Shift + Space and capture an area. The recognized text goes straight into the search bar. Requires sign-in and uses your monthly allowance.

Does reading text touch my clipboard?

SeekHop reads selected text directly where it can; otherwise it briefly copies and tries to restore your clipboard. If reading still fails, type the text instead.
