The rules for inviting a friend.
When you invite a friend, you both get some Plus time: your friend when they first sign in on the desktop app, you once they have kept using it for a few days.
Who can take part
- Anyone with a SeekHop account can invite friends.
- A friend enters an invite code when creating an account, or in its first days (the app shows how many).
- Each account can use one invite, once. You cannot use your own code.
What counts as a successful invite
An invite is recorded when your friend uses your code. It counts as successful once the friend is still using the desktop app after the waiting time shown in the app. Signing up alone doesn’t count.
What you both get
Your friend gets Plus time on first signing in on the desktop app; you get yours when the invite counts as successful. The days are shown in the app and on the invite page, and may differ between the two.
- Rewards are Plus time, added after any Plus time you already have.
- Rewards are not money and cannot be exchanged, sold or transferred.
- Plus time from an invite doesn’t include the Plus monthly allowance.
Limits
- Each inviter can be rewarded up to a limit shown in the app; friends who qualify after that still get their own reward.
- When many invites qualify in a short time, we may hold rewards for review.
- The program has an overall limit on rewards in any 30 days; when it’s reached, rewards wait until there is room.
What isn’t allowed
- Inviting yourself, or using several accounts of your own to collect rewards.
- Sharing your code in misleading ways, or sending unwanted messages in bulk.
- Using automation or fake activity to make an invite count.
Review, holding and reversal
When we reasonably believe these rules were broken or a reward was given by mistake, we may hold, refuse or reverse it, and close accounts involved in abuse. A reward already given for an invite we later refuse can be taken back.
Changes and ending
We may change rewards or these rules, or pause or end the program, at any time. Rewards already given stay; an invite not yet rewarded is judged by the rules in force when its reward is due.
What we keep
We keep your invite code, which account used which code, and when. Invites use no cookies: the code travels only in the link and your sign-in. If you delete your account, your code and any invite not yet rewarded are deleted; invites that already led to a reward stay as a record that names no one.
